The chief of the department is Marina Tischenko. She got training on the courses of WHO evidential medicine.

The doctors of the department have all professional skills to give the first aid in obstetrics.

The department has individual labour rooms (wards) with necessary modern equipment to provide qualified assistance for a mother and a new born. In our maternity hospital there are no such conservative procedures as an enema, shaving and some others.

A temperature condition is kept at level not below than 25°С, that is optimum for newborn.

We provide deliveries in the individual labour room, in a friendly atmosphere with partner support during the delivery. Near 78% deliveries which are taking place in our center are partner.

During the first period of labour we use a fitness ball for diminishing pains. Swedish wall helps to decrease the loading on a back during delivery. One maternity room is equipped by bath, which allows to lay back and diminish the pain feelings. There are two fetal monitors for screening under fetus intrauterine condition.

Modern vacuum-extractor with silicone cups is used in occasions of urgent help: for the exception of the second period of births or for urgent labour in the interests of fetus.

After birth a child lies on a breast of its mother in a maternity hall during 2 hours, which is important to save the “thermal chain”, settling of child's organism a domestic flora and to the early beginning of the breast-feeding.

The operations of the planned and urgent caesar section are conducted in a department, with the use of modern hypoallergenic suture materials which can resolve. During a caesar section a new-born child is laid out on the breast of its father. In the case of caesar section with the use of spinal anaesthesia there is a possibility of contact of child with mother and put baby to the breasts yet during an operation. To the women with a scar on an uterus after the operation of caesar section there is a possibility to give a birth through natural maternity ways. In every certain case the plan of conduct of births decides after the concilium of doctors.

Family of woman has a possibility to take an active part in the care of baby and mother after births which are on a compatible stay in single-seat postnatal chambers. The newborns in our center are on the exceptionally breast-feeding.

In postnatal period women get consultations of the skilled specialists on the questions of the breast-feeding and post-natal contraception, consultation of psychologist.

In the case of the uncomplicated birth and normal postnatal period, the discharge of women with babies is conducted in 3 days, and after the operation of caesar section - in 5 days.
